Clarity Pediatrics Raises $14.5 Million Series A to Expand Virtual Chronic Care into Pediatric Obesity

Christina LaMontagne, CEO and Co-Founder of Clarity Pediatrics

Clarity Pediatrics, a rapidly growing telehealth company focused on pediatric chronic care, has secured $14.5 million in Series A funding, marking a significant step in its mission to modernize specialty care for children and families. The round was led by Jackson Square Ventures and included new investors City Light Capital, MassMutual Catalyst Fund II, GingerBread Capital, Scrub Capital, and Operator Collective.

Existing backers—Rethink Impact, Maverick Ventures, and Homebrew—also participated, underscoring continued investor confidence in Clarity Pediatrics’s clinical-first approach to virtual care.

The new capital will support the company’s planned launch of pediatric obesity services in early 2026, continued development of its virtual clinic platform, and geographic expansion beyond its current footprint in California and Texas. Today, more than 1,600 pediatricians already refer commercial and Medicaid patients to Clarity Pediatrics for comprehensive virtual ADHD and anxiety care.

Addressing one of pediatrics’ fastest-growing challenges

“Obesity is the fastest growing pediatric chronic condition in the United States, quadrupling in prevalence over the past four decades,” said Dr. Alesandro Larrazabal, Co-Founder and Chief Medical Officer of Clarity Pediatrics. “As a pediatrician-led organization, our goal is to equip providers and families with evidence-based solutions that improve access and outcomes. Expanding into pediatric obesity care is a natural next step in fulfilling that commitment.”

The challenge is substantial: more than 40% of school-aged children and adolescents manage at least one chronic condition, while access to pediatric specialists remains limited by long wait times, insurance barriers, and regional shortages. Clarity Pediatrics aims to close this gap through a virtual care model that combines multi-specialty expertise, personalized family support, and insurance-covered telehealth services.

A platform built on clinical rigor

The care model developed by Clarity Pediatrics is grounded in American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) clinical guidelines and emphasizes coordinated, team-based care. Families are supported by pediatricians and specialists practicing at the top of their license, with a strong focus on family-centered group care—an approach shown to improve outcomes in chronic conditions.

“Every pediatrician I’ve spoken with says the same thing: Clarity Pediatrics is delivering a standard of care that families simply can’t access elsewhere,” said Victor Echevarria, Managing Director at Jackson Square Ventures. He emphasized that the company is building a comprehensive pediatric specialty platform rather than isolated point solutions.

Impact metrics further reinforce this approach. According to Christina LaMontagne, CEO and Co-Founder of Clarity Pediatrics, nearly 89% of parents participating in group behavioral programs report a large positive impact, while three out of four families see meaningful improvements in child behavior within eight weeks.

Editorial View: Why Clarity Pediatrics Stands Out

The pediatric healthcare system is under mounting strain, particularly for chronic conditions that require long-term, coordinated care. In this context, Clarity Pediatrics is addressing a critical structural gap by aligning technology with clinical depth rather than convenience alone. Its emphasis on evidence-based guidelines and multi-specialty collaboration positions the company as more than a telehealth provider—it is building digital pediatric infrastructure.

The planned expansion into pediatric obesity care is especially timely. With disparities disproportionately affecting low-income and minority populations, scalable virtual models like that of Clarity Pediatrics have the potential to meaningfully improve equity in access and outcomes. By integrating behavioral, medical, and family-centered care, the company is tackling the problem at its roots.

Looking forward, the strength of this Series A syndicate and the company’s growing adoption among pediatricians suggest durable momentum. If execution continues at the same clinical and operational standard, Clarity Pediatrics could help redefine how pediatric chronic care is delivered nationwide.
