iVisa, the U.S.-based travel technology company, is gaining global traction with its AI-driven platform that streamlines visa and travel document processing. Co-founded by David Perez (CEO) and Sergio Merino (COO), the company operates entirely without external funding and has grown to over 400 employees across 15 countries.
Founded in 2013 to simplify cumbersome government visa processes, iVisa has processed millions of applications for travelers from more than 240 nationalities. The company reported a 526% revenue increase between 2021 and 2024, highlighting rapid adoption of its services in the consumer travel market.
iVisa’s AI assistant, Vee, guides applicants through visa forms, validates documents in real-time, and corrects errors instantly, while human experts review every submission. “Governments set the rules; our job is to make them work for the traveler,” said David Perez.
The company has been recognized on the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 and Inc. 5000 lists, reflecting its rapid growth and operational impact. High-profile cases, such as supporting filmmaker Michael Angelo Zervos in securing 70+ visas for a world record journey, underscore iVisa’s operational reliability.
Looking ahead, iVisa is expanding predictive travel management using machine learning to anticipate regulatory changes, improve processing speed, and launch subscription services like iVisa+ for frequent travelers. “We want applying for a visa to feel easier than booking a flight,” said Sergio Merino.
By combining AI efficiency with human oversight, iVisa is redefining how travelers navigate international bureaucracy, offering both speed and reliability in a historically complex process.
