ShopMy Raises $70 Million at $1.5 Billion Valuation, Redefining Commerce Through Taste-Driven Curation

In a fresh chapter for creator-driven commerce, ShopMy, the curated commerce infrastructure company, has secured $70 million in a funding round led by Avenir, bringing its valuation to $1.5 billion. This capital injection, bolstered by heavyweight investors including Bain Capital Ventures, Bessemer Venture Partners, Menlo Ventures, and notable individual backers like Sofia Richie and Aimee Song, is poised to accelerate the company’s ambitious expansion in building an ecosystem where authenticity trumps algorithmic marketing.

Founded in 2020 by CEO Harry Rein, President Tiffany Lopinsky, and Chief Business Development Officer Chris Tinsley, ShopMy has evolved from a niche platform serving creators to a sophisticated infrastructure connecting over 185,000 hand-picked tastemakers with more than 1,200 premium brands including Gucci, West Elm, and Therabody. The company reported over $1 billion in annual platform sales, underpinned by a 200% year-over-year revenue growth and sustained profitability since 2024. ShopMy’s innovative ‘Circles’ feature offers consumers personalized shopping feeds curated by trusted creators, breaking away from the conventional algorithmic recommendations dominating the industry.

“ShopMy is fundamentally a bet on authenticity and that lasting brand value comes through curation and taste over ads and algorithmic recommendations,” said Harry Rein, CEO of ShopMy. Tiffany Lopinsky, President, adds, “We have deep conviction that curators are the future of brand distribution for the next generation of enduring companies. This investment lets us transform personal enthusiasm into measurable results at scale.”

Editorial Perspective:

ShopMy’s success underscores a profound shift in e-commerce dynamics — where genuine human connection and trusted taste are becoming the currency for premium brands seeking meaningful engagement. The company’s ability to weave together creators, brands, and consumers into a single ecosystem positions it uniquely amid an industry grappling with the pitfalls of algorithm-driven noise and diminishing consumer trust.

As creator commerce matures, ShopMy’s integrated platform model could redefine how brands cultivate long-term cultural relevance, moving beyond short-lived ad campaigns to build sustained communities. With consumer demand trending toward authenticity, ShopMy’s scalable approach could set a new blueprint for commerce infrastructure, especially for brands aspiring to stand out in saturated markets. The company’s expansive network and strategic capital injection signal not just growth, but a potential reimagining of the commerce landscape around taste and trust.
