Ragini Das Joins Google as Head of Google for Startups – India

Google has appointed Ragini Das as the new Head of Google for Startups – India, a strategic move aimed at strengthening its support for early-stage ventures across the country.

Das is best known as the Co-founder of Leap.club, a professional network for women that operated from 2020 to 2025. Before that, she spent six years at Zomato, where she held various leadership roles.

In her new role, Das will focus on helping Indian startups scale by connecting them to Google’s global resources, tools, and best practices. Her appointment follows the company’s broader effort to deepen engagement with founders operating in high-growth and impact-driven sectors.

The opportunity came shortly after Leap.club paused operations in June 2025. Das shared that she applied for the role in August, describing it as a natural extension of her work with early-stage entrepreneurs.

Google for Startups is a global programme designed to support founders by offering access to mentorship, products, and community networks. Das’s appointment reflects Google’s continued focus on India as a high-priority startup market.
