ZeroTier Secures $13.5 Million in Series A Funding, Appoints Industry Veteran Andrew Gault as CEO

ZeroTier, a pioneering company in virtual networking, has announced a successful $13.5 million Series A funding round, led by Battery Ventures. This investment also saw contributions from Bonfire Ventures, Anorak Ventures, Grand Enterprises B.V., Airbridge Equity Partners, First In Ventures, and 7percent Ventures. This fresh capital is set to bolster ZeroTier’s mission to simplify secure connectivity for devices across the globe.

Alongside the funding announcement, ZeroTier has appointed Andrew Gault as CEO. Gault, a seasoned technology executive and investor, co-founded Gaikai, which was acquired by Sony for $380 million, and was an early investor in Oculus VR, sold to Meta for $2 billion. With his extensive background in edge devices and networking, including his role as a founding partner at 7percent Ventures, Gault brings a wealth of experience to ZeroTier. He holds 31 patents and has invested in over 100 companies.

Andrew Gault emphasized the growing need for secure connectivity: “With Internet-connected devices vastly outnumbering humans, the demand for reliable, scalable connectivity solutions is at an all-time high. ZeroTier is uniquely positioned to meet this need by creating global private networks that connect devices directly, regardless of their location.”
