ReliON Charges Up with $3 Million Investment to Bolster EV Charging Reliability

Canadian cleantech innovator ReliON has secured a critical investment of $3 million CAD to propel its mission of ensuring seamless operation within the electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure landscape.

The funding round, led by Diagram Ventures with participation from MaRS IAF, AQC Capital, Anges Québec, and Cycle Momentum, empowers ReliON to solidify its position as a leader in O&M (Operation & Maintenance) solutions for EV charging.

With a staggering 20-30% of chargers currently inoperable at any given time, the need for reliable EV charging infrastructure is paramount. ReliON tackles this challenge head-on through its comprehensive, hardware-agnostic platform. This intelligent solution integrates seamlessly with various charger types, proactively monitoring not only the chargers themselves but also environmental factors and supporting infrastructure.

“This latest round of funding fuels our commitment to revolutionize the EV charging landscape,” said Benoit Lacroix, CEO and Co-founder of ReliON. “By ensuring smooth operation of charging stations, we empower businesses and individuals to confidently embrace electric mobility.”

ReliON’s solution empowers various stakeholders within the EV ecosystem. Charge point operators benefit from streamlined diagnostics and repairs, while fleet managers gain peace of mind knowing their charging infrastructure is functioning optimally. Additionally, original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) can leverage ReliON’s platform to optimize charger performance and service providers gain a valuable tool to enhance their offerings.

Building a Reliable Future for EVs

ReliON’s innovative approach aligns perfectly with the growing demand for dependable EV charging infrastructure. As Paul Manias, Partner and Co-Head of the Diagram ClimateTech Fund, highlights, “ReliON’s focus on enhancing reliability resonates with our vision of supporting impactful climate technologies.”

This investment signifies a crucial step towards a future where EV charging is not only ubiquitous but also dependable. By prioritizing uptime and performance, ReliON paves the way for a more robust and trustworthy EV charging ecosystem, fostering wider adoption of electric vehicles and accelerating the transition towards a cleaner transportation landscape.
