Their advanced technologies include acoustic sensors capable of detecting the Red Palm Weevil (RPW) with 97% accuracy—an insect responsible for substantial damage to coconut yields globally. The company’s solutions aim to enhance yield, improve farming efficiency, and support environmentally-friendly pest control methods.
Currently, Permia Sensing is piloting its technology in corporate plantations across Sri Lanka and forging connections with plantations throughout the tropics.
