Floatic Accelerates Growth with Strategic Investment from Hyundai Motor Group to Revolutionize Warehouse Robotics

Floatic, a pioneering provider of warehouse robotic solutions based in Seoul, South Korea, has successfully concluded its pre-Series A bridge round with an undisclosed additional investment from ZERO1NE, Hyundai Motor Group’s startup innovation platform. This recent funding complements the $3.8 million raised last month, led by Capstone Partners, bringing Floatic’s total funding to over $8 million.

Founded in 2021, Floatic specializes in ‘Floware,’ an autonomous mobile robot (AMR) solution designed to enhance efficiency in e-commerce warehouse operations. Floware integrates seamlessly with existing center systems, offering rapid deployment within six weeks and minimal infrastructure investment. Notably, it delivers up to a 3.5x increase in productivity compared to manual operations, underscoring its transformative impact on warehouse logistics.

The latest investment from ZERO1NE signifies more than financial support; it marks a strategic partnership aimed at fostering long-term synergies between Floatic and Hyundai Motor Group. Commenting on the investment, a representative from ZERO1NE expressed commitment to supporting Floatic as a core portfolio company, facilitating collaborations with Hyundai affiliates and partners in future robotics ventures.

CEO Chan Lee of Floatic emphasized the pivotal role ZERO1NE has played in their journey, noting their shared vision focused on solving specific challenges in warehouse robotics. Lee highlighted Floatic’s dedication to delivering comprehensive solutions that include pre-implementation analysis, consulting, and post-implementation support, ensuring seamless integration and operational efficiency for clients.

Floatic is currently advancing toward the full commercialization of Floware, building upon successful field tests with 3PL companies and local warehouses. Collaborations with industry leaders such as POSCO DX and LogisALL underscore its readiness to address diverse logistical needs effectively.

In editorial view, Floatic stands poised to redefine warehouse automation with its advanced robotics solutions. The company’s innovative approach not only enhances operational efficiency but also aligns with global trends toward sustainable and efficient logistics. As it moves forward, Floatic’s strategic partnerships and technological advancements are set to drive significant industry impact, making it a formidable player in the burgeoning field of warehouse robotics.
