Argus Appoints Maria Hooper to Its Board of Directors

Argus, the leading global energy and commodity price reporting agency, has announced the appointment of Maria Hooper to its esteemed board of directors.

Maria Hooper brings over 15 years of profound expertise in the energy sector, cultivated through senior leadership roles at ConocoPhillips (COP) and Phillips 66 (P66). Notably, she served as a trusted advisor to the P66 executive leadership and board, shaping strategies in global markets and steering enterprise growth aligned with environmental, social, and governance (ESG) imperatives. Her strategic foresight led to the establishment of new business lines focusing on renewable energy, power, and natural gas trading.

In her role as Senior Vice President Commercial, Maria Hooper oversaw expansive commercial operations across key global hubs including the US, Canada, UK, and Singapore, managing revenues exceeding $1 billion and successfully integrating new corporate assets. She also spearheaded the global oil trading portfolio from Houston and London, cementing her reputation as a leader at the intersection of energy markets and strategic business development.

Maria Hooper’s career journey spans pivotal engineering and trading roles at ANR Pipeline, Apache Corporation, and Producers Energy Trading, each contributing to her comprehensive understanding of the energy landscape.
