HydroX AI, a pioneering AI startup dedicated to advancing safety and security in large language models (LLMs), has announced the successful closure of a $4 million angel funding round. This investment, led by Vitalbridge Capital and Atom Capital, along with prominent AI expert Qi Lu, EVP of Microsoft and former COO of Baidu, will bolster HydroX AI’s efforts in LLM safety innovation and market penetration.
The funding arrives amidst a burgeoning global market for LLMs, projected to reach $260 billion by 2030, highlighting the critical need for enhanced security measures. HydroX AI addresses this imperative with the launch of EPASS, its cutting-edge Evaluation Platform for AI Safety and Security.
“Security is fundamental to the future integration of AI into society, transcending mere privacy concerns to encompass ethics, learning, and societal impact,” remarked Ben, partner at Vitalbridge Capital, underscoring the strategic importance of HydroX AI’s advancements.
EPASS sets a new standard in AI safety and security management by offering precise evaluation and management capabilities across four trust domains: safety, privacy, integrity, and security. This state-of-the-art platform empowers stakeholders to assess vulnerabilities, ensure compliance with rigorous safety standards, and optimize AI system reliability.
“EPASS represents a pivotal development in our mission to safeguard AI technologies,” said Zhuo Li, founder of HydroX AI and former head of the Privacy and Data Protection Office at Bytedance. “Our platform enables comprehensive evaluation and ongoing monitoring, essential for mitigating evolving threats in the AI landscape.”
The platform includes features such as a detailed evaluation dashboard, real-time performance insights, and customizable evaluation packages tailored to diverse user needs. HydroX AI’s approach has garnered early adoption from leading LLM companies, affirming its role as a frontrunner in AI TRiSM (Trust, Risk, and Security Management).
Founded in 2023, HydroX AI leverages a team of industry veterans, including Yuji Kosuga, Head of Engineering, renowned for their contributions to privacy and security at companies like LinkedIn, Google, and Meta. www.hydrox.ai.
